The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs received confirmation on September 12, 2018 that a 2 year old unvaccinated filly from Essex County tested positive for West Nile virus. She became depressed, unsteady on her feet and had a temperature of 102 F. She is gradually responding to treatment.
