Equine Herpesvirus- Neurologic

Two additional cases of EHV1 have been confirmed in Clark County, Nevada. These two cases have resulted in two additional premises being quarantined. Nevada State Veterinarian has requested that all equine events in Nevada be postponed or canceled for this upcoming week. Additional exposure may have occurred at a rodeo in Fernley March 8th-10th. All horse owners are urged to not travel and to monitor horses for fever and other signs of disease over the next two weeks.
