Notes: The mare is responding to treatment. The facility with a total of 10 horses has been placed under quarantine. Indirect exposure to junior high and collegiate rodeo horses has occurred and participants in these events are encouraged to continue to closely monitor their horses for signs of disease and to contact their veterinarians immediately if disease is suspected. Traveling to competitions should be done after consultation with veterinarians and strict biosecurity protocols should be in place at all events. ;
