Notes: A 6 year old quarterhorse gelding in Lake County IN tested positive for Equine Infectious Anemia. A quarantine was placed and ten exposed horses were also tested along with a second sample from the index horse. NVSL confirmed that both the index horse’s initial sample and second sample were positive on AGID. The positive horse was euthanized and the remaining horses will be retested in 60 days
