As of January 27th the total number of horses confirmed positive for EHV-1 is 24. Trace outs from the time period between Jan. 2-21 have led us to Texas and Arizona. Three horses were shipped to AZ before the quarantine of Sunland Park was instituted last week and those horses were placed under quarantine at Turf Paradise. From conversations with AZ, it appears the horses were swabbed and tested negative. One of them appears to have become neurologic today. Movement of horses to TX is being traced and there are no reports of clinical symptoms.
