Notes: This mare was purchased from a "kill-pen" at auction and then sold to a person who brought it to RI. The transporter noted signs consistent with strangles and notified the owner. The mare was brought to a free standing isolation barn at a large boarding farm. This farm has successfully managed strangles in the past by isolating horses to a single barn.
