Notes: The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is reporting at least one confirmed case of Strangles in Dane, Jackson, Kenosha, Racine, Rock and Walworth Counties and one suspected case in Douglas County. WI does not generally issue a quarantine for strangles cases but does recommend a voluntary quarantine. DATCP recommends that veterinarians work with equine owners and stable owners or managers to implement enhanced biosecurity measures.
