Equine Herpesvirus- Neurologic

On Monday, June 13, 2016, the quarantine was released on a West Bend stable that was under movement restrictions after a horse tested positive for the neurologic form of Equine Herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1) on May 12, 2016. Daily monitoring, strict isolation, and biosecurity measures taken by the stable owner and follow-up testing done by the stable’s veterinarian resulted in a rapid resolution of the outbreak and with no evidence of spread off the premises.
