Equine Herpesvirus- Neurologic

New Mexico has a new confirmed EHM case at Ruidoso Downs. The horse became neurological yesterday and was euthanized and the barn where the horse was located is under quarantine for exposure. No other horses are showing any signs, but strict biosecurity is in force. Temperatures will be taken on all horses on the racetrack, but at this stage the racetrack will remain open and running. Movement of horses is being permitted on and off site. New Mexico Livestock Board.
