Notes: Cases of the nervous form of equine herpesvirus type 1 have been reported in a stable in the Saint-Lazare region of Montérégie. Two horses developed neurological signs. One of them had severe disease and had to be euthanized, although he was vaccinated against equine herpesvirus. The recent entry of a new horse into the stable without prior quarantine is one of the identified risk factors responsible for this outbreak.
