Comments: The owner of two positive contact cases identified in a follow-up investigation in Barnwell County are discussing their options. Investigation is ongoing looking for additional contact animals. CULPH and USDA veterinarians are working diligently in finding any additional positive horses in order to protect the horse population of South Carolina. For more information go to EIA factsheet.
