Clinical Signs: Two new horses were brought onto the property two weeks prior to clinical signs developing. They were not quarantined and were placed into a small herd of horses. The first horse developed a fever and hives before exhibiting classic signs of strangles. 5 more horses who were in direct contact have also developed classic signs of strangles. The group of affected horses have been isolated. Rectal temperatures in the remaining horses in the exposed group are being monitored and recorded .; Confirmation Date: 7/4/2023;
Comments: The facility is under veterinary supervision with movement restrictions and biosecurity protocols in place.;
