Clinical Signs: This 2 year old QH gelding was found in lateral recumbency on September 11 with fever (39 C), dull mentation, tachycardia, tachypnea and hind end paralysis. He was euthanized. Another horse on the property was euthanized on September 12 for acute neurologic disease.; Confirmation Date: 9/21/2023; Horse Status: Euthanized; Vaccination Status: Unvaccinated;
Comments: This is the 11th confirmed case of EEE this year.;
