Clinical Signs: This was an unvaccinated 15 month old female QH from the region of Ottawa, that was found down in a pasture on September 25 and would stumble and fall when she tried to rise. She was euthanized about 6 hours later . The serum sample was positive for EEE IgM. There was no history of travel. Two unvaccinated weanlings on the property also showed acute neurologic signs and were euthanized.; Confirmation Date: 10/3/2023; Horse Status: Euthanized; Vaccination Status: Unvaccinated;
Comments: This is the 13th EEE case of the year.;
