Horse 1:
Age: 19; Gender: Gelding; Breed: Warmblood (WB); Clinical Signs: This gelding developed a unilateral nasal discharge around October 14 and was confirmed positive for S. equi on October 25 by PCR. The pasture mate, who was not showing clinical signs, was also positive for S. equi. A third horse has developed submandibular lymph node abscessation. All 3 horses are in isolation on the property.; Confirmation Date: 11/25/2023; Horse Status: Recovering;

Comments: The facility is under voluntary movement restrictions and the owner has instituted infection control measures. The situation is under veterinary supervision.;
