Wisconsin confirmed equine EEE case on October 28, 2016. The horse was an unvaccinated 12-year-old Quarter Horse gelding from Wood County. The horse showed signs of circling and ataxia on 10/25/16 and was down, became unresponsive in approximately 8 hours and subsequently died. This is the 19th confirmed case of EEE in Wisconsin in 2016.
