Age: 14; Gender: Gelding; Breed: Mixed breed; Onset of Clinical Signs: 12/15/2023; Clinical Signs: This gelding was diagnosed with purpura hemorrhagica, an immune-mediated vascular disease, often associated with exposure to S. equi antigens. S. equi was cultured from the guttural pouches. There were some horses on the property with nasal discharge within the last month.; Horse Status: Recovering;

Comments: Voluntary animal movement restrictions are being implemented and the farm is under veterinary supervision.;
