Age: 2; Breed: Quarter Horse (QH); Usage: Horse Show; Onset of Clinical Signs: 1/22/2024; Clinical Signs: Attending veterinarian reported that this horse was part of a cohort of 5 that was shipped to RI from FL. All horses are owned by the same owner and they were not shipped with others. Veterinarian reported the affected horse to be mildly febrile and had mild respiratory signs. The veterinarian performed a nasopharyngeal wash and EHV-4 was detected as part of a diagnostic panel that included other respiratory pathogens, but those pathogens were not detected; Confirmation Date: 1/25/2024; Horse Status: Recovering; Vaccination Status: Status Unknown;
