Horse 1:
Age: 12; Breed: Quarter Horse (QH); Clinical Signs: The horse developed a cough, unilateral nasal discharge, swollen lymph nodes and a fever. He was tested on January 31 and was positive for S. equi by PCR on nasal swab. The horse had shipped up from the US the previous week.; Confirmation Date: 2/2/2024;

Comments: Under veterinary supervision, the facility manager has implemented voluntary animal movement restrictions and infection control procedures.
