Age: 17; Gender: Mare; Breed: Quarter Horse (QH); Clinical Signs: This mare developed an abscess under her jaw. PCR positive for S. equi. Two other horses (one with an abscess under the jaw, and one with nasal discharge) have also been confirmed positive.;
