Comments: A 26-year-old Paint mare and a 16-year-old Paint gelding from San Bernardino County displaying neurologic signs were confirmed positive for Equine Herpesvirus Myeloencephalopathy (EHM) secondary to Equine Herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1). The mare was euthanized due to severity of clinical signs and the gelding is alive and under supportive care at the home premises. Thirty-five (35) potentially exposed horses at the home premise in San Bernardino County were quarantined with enhanced biosecurity measures implemented. This premises shares a fence line with the other EHM quarantined premises. There has been no recent history of travel on or off these premises by the clinical horses. CDFA has been onsite and will continue to actively monitor the situation.;
