Age: 12; Gender: Gelding; Breed: Warmblood (WB); Clinical Signs: This gelding developed an abscess on the outside aspect of the jaw. No new horses on the property. Abscess was positive for S. equi.;

Comments: The facility owner, working with their veterinarian, has instituted voluntary animal movement restrictions and biosecurity protocols.
