Age: 12; Gender: Mare; Breed: Quarter Horse (QH); Clinical Signs: This mare was examined for "choke" due to swollen lymph nodes in the throatlatch area. She also had purulent nasal discharge. There were no new horses on the farm. Testing was positive for Streptococcus equi by PCR.; Horse Status: Recovering;
