Horse 1:
Age: 1; Gender: Filly; Breed: Gypsy Vanner; Clinical Signs: This filly developed Strangles ( multiple draining abscesses, persistent fever, weight loss) and died after another horse on the property returned from a 90-day training session at a large training facility which recently had Strangles (see Alert ID 4920). 5 of the 6 horses on this private farm developed Strangles. One senior pony is receiving supportive treatment by the attending veterinarian.; Confirmation Date: 5/8/2026; Horse Status: Deceased;
