Comments: The fourteenth (14th) equine case of West Nile Virus in California in 2026 was confirmed in Amador County. On September 17, 2026, a 5-year-old vaccinated Quarter Horse gelding in Amador County displaying neurologic signs was confirmed positive for West Nile Virus. The gelding is alive and recovering.;
