Comments: The sixteenth (16th) equine case of West Nile Virus in California in 2026 was confirmed in Siskiyou County. On October 8, 2026, a 8-year-old Quarter Horse gelding with an unknown vaccine history in Siskiyou County displaying neurologic signs was confirmed positive for West Nile Virus. The gelding is alive and recovering.;
