The Georgia Department of Agriculture has confirmed a second EEE case in Lowndes County (3 year, Paint horse, unknown vaccine status). The horse was febrile with acute onset neurological signs including seizures, blindness, and inability to rise. The horse was euthanized due to poor prognosis. The 2017 total reported EEE cases in GA to date are 5 confirmed, 1 suspect.
