Following an EHM case confirmed at New Bolton Center last week, 8 trace-forward premises (equine locations where horses that may have been exposed at New Bolton returned to before the EHM case was confirmed) and one trace-back premise have been placed under quarantine. Two barns at New Bolton Center are currently under quarantine; the remainder of the facility is not under formal quarantine following a thorough risk assessment. At New Bolton and the other quarantined premises in PA, monitoring of horses with testing is being implemented in addition to biosecurity precautions.
