Comments: Patient was bought at the end of August. Other horse on farm was bought a week prior to the patient, and that horse had nasal discharge a few days before this patient at the beginning of September. The patient then developed severe symptoms a few days later. Both horses were bought from separate boarding stables/training facilities in the same county. The first horse bought had a history of receiving a strangles vaccination per the previous owner.;
